That looks almost normal - could be because it's 1:45am. Test again during peak time.

Different night, same crap.

Area/ suburb
Amanzimtoti, Durban, KZN

-snip

I'm really sorry about the ongoing issues here :(
Our network team did implement some changes in the region the other night which seemed to have helped - I see AfriFella passed on all the relevant details to our team last night, I'll see if there's any feedback for you guys this morning.

There is now zero doubt for me that Afrihost is out of capacity and shaping business accounts in the evenings to ease the load.
On Business uncapped account things are struggling, but on Telkom and free 1GB capped account all is fine.

This is not a capacity issue.
I believe you're working on a way forward with your Critical Care team.

I must be using most of that capacity then, because im having zero issues. My issues are mostly Telkom and my line, but when its working, i have no issues. Clearly if there was a capacity issue, more people would be complaining on here.

Its a regional issue, not a capacity issue. In fact, reading one of the other isp's thread, users are reporting that they are shaping capped accounts. There is an issue in the KZN region, and reading the response from the reps, they are working extremely hard to provide a fix.

I know its frustrating as hell to pay for something thats not working, and i would be upset as well, but give the guys a chance. Its also disappointing to see ex clients telling existing clients to leave Afrihost. Thats a real shame to see things like that.

Issues in Kzn have existed for a number of weeks now, everybody effected and still here has and is giving them a chance.

A fix was implemented the other night which seemed to have helped, not sure if the same issue or another resurfaced. Either way, we've renewed our energies on a fix and will continue to work on one until it's resolved.

Dont get me wrong, as i said, i would be frustrated as hell as well... But i disagree with those saying its a capacity issue, its clearly not, as there would be just way too many complaints right now. Its clearly a KZN issue, which they have addressed and tried a fix which worked a bit. They might have to relook at a different fix or reroute KZN users somewhere else to see if that might solve the issue

I don't know what the issue is, we can only speculate. Im merely addressing the idea that people here aren't giving them a chance which is clearly not the case.

Let's hope this ping issue in KZN doesn't resurface tonight. You guys were quick with addressing the issue last night. Good job. :)

How is your performance at present? Can you ping google.com? Or run a tracert to mybroadband.co.za

Just as a quick update, our Network guys have a few things on their plate this week - we're still busy with CloudFlare latency :)
