I've sent this quite a few times. Genie ask to send by inbox too. Sent twice, no response.
Look back and you'll see the another afri rep saying he will look into it... Also no response after that.

Wont be to run the ping now, only after work. Though bras does seem to give a number. Whats does bras take us to?

I'll follow up with the team regarding the tests sent to them. If you could post the results here when you have a chance that would be awesome as well. :)

bras.afrihost.com is a routing/switch which assigns IP's to different ISP's at the exchange.

I recall pings to bras average around 25ms. Ill do it again and post when I get home.
If the above stats is all true, what does this mean then? Its a configuration from afri?

@Afrihost - apologies if this has been asked and answered but in November you increased the requirements to retain the extended Free-Time data:

Then recently you increased it again:

What's going to happen in January? Are the current threshold requirements here to stay or will you be increasing it again?

also keen to know this... Would have preferred FreeTime to be at least minimum 100 Gigs to qualify

From January, only packages from R299 and above will continue to receive Free-Time. All other Capped DSL packages will continue to receive After Hours data.

I get that - my question is for how long will that be the threshold? For the past two months you've been raising the bar, can we expect the same next month too?

If the latency to bras.afrihost.com is low, yet the rest of the routing is high, then yes there may be congestion or other errors on the network.

At this stage there is no cutoff date, but it can be revised again at anytime. :)

sup my Chinas.. Happy Wednesday people. No Lightning strikes in Cape Town, only Sunshine and Blue Skies, and Bikinis :D

Hey Dude! :D

You downgraded your package on the 1st of this month. So the change would only take effect from the 1st of January.

i know :) But just wondering if it shouldnt show the package being 150 +150 as i never upgraded to a 300 + 300 package. I was on a 150+450 incl AfriPlus, but with all my data and Free Time, i cancelled (for now) AfriPlus and downgraded to a 150+150 package. Just dont want to be billed for a 300+ 300 package ;)

I cant believe Afrihost added 3 new names to the social media team on MEET the TEAM.. besides Genie, Afriman and Fella who i managed to figure out, im now having to figure out who AfriNatic is :D

Sorry, I meant to say, Double Data is gone from product descriptions on their website.

strange that. i dont recall them mentioning anything about double data falling away from January onwards. Where for art thou reps
