And it has now been 38 hours without a reply from support.

Drop me a PM with the ticket reference and I'll check with our support managers on this. That does seem a little longer than usual - we may be seeing a large number of tickets as businesses open and people come back from holiday :(
 
I'm in the same area you are. Mine is auto DNS too.
I did not manually test those. I've automated tracert's running at intervals.

The worrying part is that all was fine until AH did the split for capped accounts. Then the issues started again.

The change simply introduced a new product as a shaped capped product, it would not have affected any existing products. We're definitely monitoring capacity and demand closely to make sure that doesn't affect our user's experience.

I play LoL, Dota 2, Smite, CSS, paladins and currently RS (nostalgia and it handles packet loss well). Got bored of WoW and GW2.

Using the test account currently no packet loss to bras.afrihost.com, but packet loss to: 196.43.31.249 of 0.2% but it's not causing any issues in-game LoL EUW or Smite.
Your sup. was kind enough to go about organizing someone to test my line, so hopefully that'll be sorted/removed from the equation.

Not seeing this anywhere else. Are pings looking normal?

This sometimes happens with DNS issues? Are you using Afrihost Dynamically Assigned DNS or a different DNS provider?

Called, she refreshed the port (not recreate) and traffic now seems to be flowing again. Strange that p2p and ICMP (pings/tracerts) still worked.
Line stats dropped in SNR a bit more, 9.2Mbps with 7.2dB SNR, from 8.2 before. A month and a half ago I had 10Mbps with 9+dB SNR.

Glad to hear you're back online. What DNS settings are you using?

Pace router doesn't seem to be able to display if it is, and it shouldn't be a factor in a case like this. I also would not want to be on interleaved, I game.

Google DNS. Thing is, on ICMP it resolved no issue, so DNS worked, just any other traffic didn't work.

In that case, it sounded like you just needed a reboot. Let me know if it happens again.

Business packages broken?
 
At the moment internet is dead if i connect via the Business packages.

Definitely not aware of any general issues specifically relating to our Business packages... Are you still unable to connect?

Yes. Rebooted and changed between the Afrihost and Afrigreen accounts. Both connect with an IP but then nothing.

First thought that it was pc. But it is on all devices
 
We're still looking into what happened here, but I think there's no question that Afrihost will honour it's agreement to you. Technical glitches aren't really a representation of the company's intention. We stated that Capped data was not shaped, and it wasn't, and now we've introduced a new product which is, and given you the option to stay with what you had (prior to the Double Data promotion) or go onto the new product. We will definitely honour that, we just need to time to figure out what happened in this specific case, while thousands of other clients have seamlessly moved to Shaped Capped without issues :(
