Did you actually downgrade your line package in ClientZone or did Telkom just drop your sync profile?
Donovan dropped it in order to see if it would help sort out the issue, in case it's due to too low an SNR margin, which it isn't.
 
Yeah, if you're seeing the same results on multiple accounts it really confirms congestion. :( Telkom will usually prioritise exchange maintenance based on demand in your area. Are your neighbours experiencing similar problems?

I'm not sure, I can try and find out. For some reason very few people seem to have ADSL/landlines installed in their homes (based on my experience while looking for new places to rent in the past).

I moved my line from 8Mbps to 4Mbps yesterday, but since this didn't help/work, I will be moving my line back to 8Mbps, so I can atleast get faster speeds over the weekends. Really hoping I don't get billed double because of going from 8 > 4 > 8 in the same month.
 
I see and what speeds do they get throttled to once throttled?

The reason the speeds aren't listed is that it's dynamic and based on network load. We'll throttle clients on these accounts more as demand increases.

If throttled are things like online games affected?

Unlike shaping, throttling focuses on all protocols. So yes, depending on the severity of throttling, online games will probably be affected.
 
This "potentially shaped" capped account is ****.. My NNTP is dead from just after 6pm till around 10pm.

Is it just me or anyone else experiencing this?

Whch NNTP service are you using? How are your torrents looking?
 
It's a case of waiting for Telkom to process it from their side. :( The time that takes can vary a bit.

So I'm on fast path yet have 21ms ping to exchange, lol.
So since they probably won't do it today, how long must I wait? Do they not work on weekends?
Also the line fault, has it been reopened?
