Yo... AfriTeam...
I guess no news from me is good news.
No problems, all just running like a well oiled machine here, surviving the school-break acid test without a hitch thus far.
Just thought I'd pop in here and let ya'all know.
Welcome to the thread of silence
Really glad things are working for you though dude, thanks for popping in!!
Hahahaha, I'm rather going to read the issues on the Vox thread lol
Oooh, a place I can complain about my slow internet
To make a long story short, I had a "break" from internet (moved house) and eventually got a line and an Axxess account. This caused me to miss most of the RWC, so eventually moved back to Afrihost in the hopes to catch the last couple of games. It was a little better but that was the same time there were some known "issues" on the network. Now all "issues" have apparently been sorted out, but I still experience problems streaming video. Anything from Youtube (international) to Showmax (local) is very intermittent and freezes completely sometimes. At times I get 3.5Mbs connectivity, according to SpeedTest, and at times I barely get 1Mb (I have a 4Mb uncapped package).
Where do I start looking to see what the issue is? Honestly, my first response was to search "best ISP", but that's because I simply don't have the time or energy to figure out what's up![]()

AfriGuy - can you maybe see if you can put some fire under Telkom's a** - nothing has been done about my dead line. When I phoned in yesterday they say that the fault has been assigned to yet another technician. Absolutely nothing is happening - there haven't been any Telkom vehicles in my area or any contact from them. It is coming on 2 weeks so I am literally going to be paying for nothing at this rate. Please help. Please.
He has yes - early last week. But Telkom seems to be doing nothing about it. I know there is only so much you can do - but I am at a wit's end. Might as well just flush my money down the toilet this month.I believe AfriGenie has been escalating this for you.
PM me the info and I'll see if there's an update though.
