I really don't mean to be a pain in the butt, but it's not like I have slow internet. I have NO internet. Can someone juwt please come back to me?
 
Called the call centre and they ran a diagnostic on the line and voila. Working 100%.

Strange stuff man....
 
Well, when I say 100% I mean with ping spikes and horrible download speeds. But at least I can connect...

From what I can see, nothing has changed in last 24 hours on your line or account.

At least you are back up!
 
I know it has been mentioned here a couple of times but can someone tell me what the AH dns servers are for JHB region? I can't seem to find the many posts where they are mentioned.
 
Anybody having slow connections during the evenings? Last night and now tonight, at about 8pm onwards I'm struggling to stream a 480p video. Very weird as during the day it's flying along nicely. I have a feeling this wind is not helping, because it's crazy strong during the evenings.

My connection has also been slow tonight. That's why I am just checking my dns settings. I am glad I am not the only one.

EDIT: Seems better now.

I'm also on Afrihost in Amanzimtoti... online gaming has gone to crap. Also 1000+ ping, internationals not resolving.
 
Hehe... I'm about a kilometre from the exchange (I'm close to Toti Primary)... I was thinking the exact same thing!

Not too far apart then. My son is hounding me as he can't play his games anymore, and daughter can't watch youtube, and wife not happy ;)
Seems like we will have to wait for Telkom to fix :confused:
 
Been having intermittent connection problems throughout the day :confused:. Seems to be issue on the DNS side of things, though not sure.
