Yeah it's been awesome! I don't game online much, but those in the household that do tell me that the new Europe latency is what local used to be, and local is ludicrously low.

If I get a 4K monitor or 4K TV I think I'll have to upgrade to at least a 600GB account.

I am seeing quake live latency of over 100ms to local now on Afrihost at present.

Anyone else seeing drastic slowdowns after 8pm lately? Past two nights on 40mbps uncapped it takes minutes for gmail, Facebook, and other standard stuff to load. Switched to a VOX capped account and it's fine. Logged a ticket now...

Just opened Gmail, Facebook and MyBB in under a second, so I think it's fine. Of course, location location location line

Yes, every evening it gets worse, after 23:00 it starts disconnecting...

That's not good. Any further testing I can see? Maybe some general speedtests and latency? If you're gaming on an overseas server, then please test to that approximate location

I haven't seen this myself. Have you tested whether this a general throughput issue or something related to DNS, etc?

Maybe try a DNS flush or switching to Google DNS as well.

Please try the DNS steps I suggested here, will really help to eliminate this as a possible cause. I assume you are using Afrihost dynamically assigned DNS. If not, please test this first.

Can we start by just ticking the option to Get DNS Automatically from ISP (or whichever way your router makes that option available)?

What is the difference between Afrihost and Axxess 4Meg Premium Uncapped Account. The reason i'm asking is because the Axxess account is quite a bit cheaper compared to Afrihost.

Nope, the Afrihost assigned DNS servers. Will try Google's servers the next time it acts up.

Edit: I have been in contact with AfriMan regarding this and we are busy trying to trouble shoot it. Just wanted to mention it in the thread so other users can see they are not the only ones experiencing the problem.
Edit 2: The interesting thing for me thus far has been that I get different ip addresses for gmail and facebook when it is working 100% and when it is slow. Other users might want to check on this as well.

Before you change it, could you run some tests? I'd like to see where and why the slow downs are coming in.
