Just upgraded a moment ago to SABNZBD 1.0.0,

Removed the server reset everything to default and re-added it, going to look for something to download and will see if its still temperamental

I would recommend giving him a proper capped account to test not the free 1GB account.

So you didn't offer me a new account to test you asked me to use an account I have had active for years, and because its uncapped its supposedly ion the same setup as the uncapped accounts. Do you really think this is going to give me any different results from my normal account?

I don't see how arguing over which account was used to test is relevant here?
Please see my post for further troubleshooting. I'd really like to move forward on this, instead of continuing to return to semantics like this.
 
Seems to be working now... go figure. Although even with a username and password configured it still wont Work on VPN :( which is why I moved away from it a while ago :( :cry:

Ah, the VPN will probably be the the issue here - it sees your public IP as not being from Afrihost.
I'm afraid our news server use is limited to Afrihost IPs.

So you claim top have given me a test account which you have not, I have followed all the troubleshooting that you have posted, and none has help which I have told you about. To be honest you have done nothing to help me and neither has support, they have my tests results, you have my tests results, and I still sit with the same issue.

Yeah I expected that, but even when the VPN was disconnected previously it wasn't working. Now with VPN disconnected at least it works, guess SAB was messed up somehow.

If you think I haven't been able to assist in troubleshooting and recommending a way forward I guess that's your opinion. I feel like I've been more than willing, and extremely patient over the years were we've had conversations here.
Perhaps it'll be better connecting with our Support team or reaching out to Critical Care as we discussed yesterday.

I can't seem to assist further, sorry.

install java on 1 of your machines and run the analysis sites i forwarded you earlier. will be interesting to see the results.
 
There has been nothing forthcoming from Afrihost except I am expected to continually do tests, and what does it help me, I get requested to do even more, am I being unreasonable to expect a working product or a solution to my issue?

No you're not being unreasonable. If your service was working properly you would not have spent countless hours on here trying to claw back value for the money you spent. I'm sure you have better things to do.

I don't like their attitude, it like you complain and you are the enemy and time will be continually wasted denying there is an issue.
