(Touch wood) the network is running amazingly. Pages are loading practically instantaneously (even when streaming videos), and I can watch YouTube 1080p60 without any buffering while browsing the web. Can also watch Twitch.tv source 720p60 (haven't tried a 1080p60 stream yet). :)

Still hoping patiently that Telkom notices that our Exchange is er... slightly undersized:

Fortunately we have the beach and other things to turn to.
 
Hi AfriGuy

Since I know that my line is able to handle Source quality on twitch, why am I not able to stream it continuously now?
Also I'm seeing bad throughput on Google and some international sites, it doesn't always happen but it's been happening more and more as of late.
 
Everything is going right at this stage hahaha

It seems I'm also routing differently to before, and my results are much better because of it!

Source quality can be touch and go, depends on where Twitch is referring your traffic too. Seen some pretty poor results from their caching before, but also seen source demand much more than 1MB/s.

Any tests I can check out for both Twitch and your Google issues?

Youtube streaming is erratic in CPT. 20mbps line.

You'll note it hits line peak - apprx 17mbps - then heads downward to single digit mbps.

The traceroute looks good, but seeing something similar from my end.
What happens if you reload the video? Does it normalise?

Reloaded and saw similar during the first few seconds. Dropped to 12mbps then picked up and streamed the rest at 17mbps. Not sure what to make of it.
 
Windows. Just tried another two 4k videos... and it streamed at full speed. Sooo... problem gone.

Would you be keen to try a new video? Something that's been uploaded within the hour, or not watched by you.
Not sure how ntop works on Windows, but I'd be interested in seeing what source you'll pulling content from,

What does this show you?

Things have been great for past couple of days and now suddenly things have slowed dramatically:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 1836 kbps (229.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 408 kbps (51 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 46 ms
‎2015‎/‎10‎/‎30‎ ‎05‎:‎55‎:‎37‎ ‎PM

I am in Cape Town area on 10Mbps ADSL with 50+50 capped account. Hope this is not the usual month end jam when everyone is trying to use up those last few Gigs that they have paid for! I mean AH would never put the brakes on now would they?
