Hard to tell from this test, but looks like latency is spiking up at the exchange.
Can you run a ping to bras.afrihost.com please?

Looks stable here, as well as your previous test using Zertop's tool.
Did the port reset not help?

The difference seems to only be reflected in the myBB speed tests... could just be a "flash" anomaly.... I made the comment after only checking speed tests.

Any ideas why my traces show a dead hop on 3?
Before, it used to be hop 2... is hop 3 the Telkom equipment?

I also cannot ping bras.afrihost.com... guess my exchange is new???
 
Okay this is going to sound like me messing around but I'm not :)

Since I did that test. Now everything is running even better.

Downloading now at 1mbps. And I'm able to browse while downloading simultaneously. No issues.

My traceroutes are also timing out on hop 3. Mine started on Saturday - never happened before.

Could very well be. If you do notice any anomalies, drop us a line here though :)
AFAIK, it's the same network though.

As for the 3rd hop timing out, I've seen inconsistent results on this. I can resolve fine, but I think someone reported here it depends on the destination host?

Excuse the weirdness here, testing a bunch of HTTP stuff for KoolDaffy, so latency is a bit off.

Have you noticed this affect your experience at all, exchange issues barred of course.
Maybe try and ping 155.239.255.250 instead?

Since Saturday latency has been hectically high - like 1000 ms+
Timeouts on 3rd hop.
Hectic slow speeds - like almost dead.
These are all new and haven't happened before.

On Saturday it was like that the whole day.
On Sunday it was intermittent.

Yup - and I've even given you an example too. Together with a few other posts too, which ironically just went ignored.

I see the selective reading still hasn't improved much.

No posts go ignored, although we can't always reply to every single one .
This does seem to depend on specific area - haven't been able to spot a common trend amoung this.

Yeah I agree the congestion is still there.

It is just that there are brand new symptoms since Saturday.

i.e. Hope 3 constantly timing out, 1000ms+ latency.
