Afrihost New Network Feedback

Same here... tried all the other devices just to make sure that it wasn't my desktop.
In which area are you, and which area was your friend's house where this occurred? Anywhere near Milnerton / TView / Sunningdale ?

I'm Table View, friend Bothasig.
 
I really thinking of making the switch to Vox because of unlimited night data at R249pm I am paying R199pm to afrihost but ran out of my 100gb this month it be super nice if I can get 200gb at R199. Any specicial surprises coming up Afrihost.

Upload Speed: 569 kbps (71.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 218 ms
Jitter: 694 ms

Also having crap in Durban! What the hell? Does the network go down every time their is an important Rugby World Cup match? Getting tired of AH right about now!
 
Same here in PMB :( My 10mb line sux at the moment.
Download Speed: 1933 kbps (241.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 489 kbps (61.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 253 ms

All good on my Web Africa Account
Download Speed: 8121 kbps (1015.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 544 kbps (68 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 87 ms
 
Finally a response from Afrihost:

We are investigating reports of slow speeds in the East (Durban and surrounding areas). We believe this may be linked to a problem on our regional point of presence. Our engineers are working tirelessly to investigate the cause and also to minimise the impact to affected clients. Clients may experience slow speeds and increased latency until the problem is resolved. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
 
670ms in LoL, thnx afrigreen. And not able to stream Worlds even on Low.. thnx thnx thnx
 
Google public DNS server pings were about 18ms ever since they switched but today very different

Afrihost: 202ms
XDSL: 19ms
 
Can't even stream the RWC Final....this blows
fix it already..........
 
My 10Mbps line doesn't show any signs of degradation in performance. :)
