He said he was going to phone me back on the 2nd Nov. to see about the game profile. I never got a call or anything and since then I stopped playing AW since I thought maybe they ran into some difficulty and give them some time to work.

That time was extended due to other games coming out and so it's now the 24th of Nov. and I've tried AW again. Packet loss.

Has there been any progress?

I was under the impression that we had loaded a profile for Armoured Warfare... I'll check with the Team and find out what the current status is.

Some telkom lines have been adjusted to interleaved profile automatically by ASSIA - This is the cause of the higher than usual latency.

Yes, you guys were waiting for a profile. You got one but since it was a rather new game, it wasn't 100% working and there were still issues so they (Artur and co.) were working on it. That's where we left off.

Thanks. I can understand if they are just waiting until they could get a full working profile from that company or something.

Not at this point.

New Sync rates are as follows:

2mbps - 2,5mbps
4mbps - 5mbps
10mbps - 12mbps
20mbps - 24mbps
40mbps - 45mbps

So client's will see an overall higher throughput (if their profiles have been adjusted, only seems to be affecting certain newer DSLAMs)

Uncapped clients going to be hammering hard on IPC for all ISPs, that's for sure!!

I'm not sure, I'm not seeing any issues on our side, would you mind sending me a PM with your details so that I can check what is going on.

That's very interesting indeed! Will this affect upload speeds at all?

Not in the short-term at least. If you don't mind me asking - think of it as a marketing survey ;) - what application or service do you want to use that requires a static IP?

Anybody know if it's correct, that under router configuration mine is ticked as all? I notice there is an ADSL 2 and a G.MT or something like that.

Those should all be ticked. :)

Those modulations allow different speed profiles on an ADSL network. G.DMT allows speeds up to 8Mbps, with ADSL2+ allowing speeds up to 20Mbps. :)
