Afrihost New Network Feedback

Hi,
Could an Afrihost rep please assist me. I have a 200GB capped account with AH+ activated on it. I had 13GB+13GB rolled over from last month. It's being used in this order:
1. Feb data rollover
2. March data
3. March data AH+
4 Feb data AH+ rollover

Would it not make more sense if the AH+ rollover from last month was used before the current months regular and plus data?

Hhmm, that does make a bit more sense. Could be logic somewhere that uses Afrihost Plus+ data last though.
Shoot me a PM with your DSL username and I'll see what our Devs can do.

Does it really take weeks or months for afrihost to action migration from telkom adsl+data package from telkom?
Got new number when I moved into new property and telkom sorted out the adsl etc.
But paid for adsl bundle on afrihost weeks ago .heading to months ...still waiting for migration...still shows pending on my afrihost account..
Do I just sit and wait ??

Sorry about the delays here :(
A line migration is usually a quick, painless process.

Could be that we've hit a snag somewhere though, PM me your line number and I can check things out for you :)

The testing that we've done on our end don't show trending results where an overall fix can be done, so it needs to run via a case by case basis for now.

I think if you guys re-introduce hour by hour data logging then you'll be able to see much easier.

As its been stated before, the graph is right, but the bar underneath is double, but because I can't see if I moved data at 6pm or 6am I have nothing to show you that you can't see already.

Data is monitored hourly.
As I said though, the best way to tackle this is to have some form of comparative data to submit.

No general issues at the time you posted, did you test some downloads to see what their throughput looked like?
Latency was definitely okay for me, at around 20ms.

The downloads ran okay, but pages on Chrome opened a bit slow. I did have alot of issues around my DNS on my router, as I struggled to get the correct settings. Eventually got it going again, so will see what it's like tonight.

Coolios, keep me posted :)

Not from our end.

I'm saying from our end, otherwise we wouldn't be able to offer midnight data.
Either way, let's get some data together and create a proper escalation from our end, with real data for our team to look at :)

I want data monitored by the minute ;)

@AfriGuy - I'd like to know the answer to the following post, as well :

Here's comparative data on my account, from this morning :

On 14/03/2016 @ 8h50am :

available data (from March) : 875.25MB
data allocation : 1.00GB FREE

Data Statistics
Total Account Data: 1.00 GB
Data Used: 148.75 MB

data used : 988.97MB After Hour Free GBs

You have used approximately 57% of your overall data allocation on all your accounts.

---------------------------------------

data used : 473.62MB After Hour Free GBs

You have used approximately 42% of your overall data allocation on all your accounts ??
-----------------------------------------------------

As per the link, my question is also why the % goes up even if it's only AFTER PEAK HOURS free data being used up ? ; would that mean one is cut-off from the after hours when it reaches 100%, or does the fact you still have 875.25MB available out of the monthly 1GB mean you'll still have access to the after hours ?

The % used is confusing the issue, as after hours is apparently unlimited, so shouldn't be affecting your all-hours total/s, either represented in MB's / GB's [which it isn't] or as a % [which it is].

EDIT: put another way, far as I'm concerned, I've really only used 14.88% on all my accounts, as I only have one, which is the 1GB free test a/c - 148.75/1000x100 ; the after-hours 11h30pm - 7h30am shouldn't be included in the %'s, which it clearly is (being) from the stats I posted above.

Would appreciate any insight you can give on this. Thanks.

Pretty hard to give you an answer off the bat here, you'll need to PM me your DSL username so I can pull that up for context :) Could be that data links are being confused somewhere, let's confirm via PM though.

I wonder if Telkom changed something again with regards to ASSIA? Last few days I'm not getting speeds above 4 MB on my 4 MB line and ping is also much lower. When they started the whole ASSIA thing I almost always got speeds of around 4.5 MB and my ping was slightly higher around 50 ms. Not complaining, just wondering.

Not aware of any changes across the board, maybe they're just tweaking it in your area?
Does your router report fast path or interleaved?

PM sent - thanks ... but as noted in PM, I'd find it strange if my a/c was different to just about everyone else's, in how it's displaying stats, with regard to the %'s.
