I hope so too. To clear things up, the tests I was asked to do I already did last night and I posted the results and screenshots on these forums, I was told by the Afrihost rep that this information would be passed on. I therefore did not rerun the tests as previously I was told giving too much of the same thing complicates matters and makes resolving things just slower.

I do get the feeling though that you almost feel afraid to post issues, as its always implied to be our fault, and in the end you wonder if its worth the bother. This should not be the case.

But all I can say is I still have the issue, I plan to contact Critical Care tomorrow

is this over wifi or ethernet? Everything seems okay there, so are you fine at the moment?

Thanks.
As per our PM, you'll be chasing this up with our team :)

Out of interest, have you tested using another router?

Interesting find.

Try change your port and reopen BT.

Test run by other forumites don't show an issue though.
Do you have a torrent I can test?

Don't have another router, but I thought I would humour myself and try Axxess, once again, all I changed on my router was the user name

axxess1.jpg

Not ideal but 100 times more better than what I get with Afrihost, there seems to be an issue getting the metadata (or whatever it is) before the torrent can even download. Switching to Axxess this was immediately downloaded. WebAfrica once again is at full speed

Axxess actually maxed at 450kB/s

I don't think troubleshooting with different ISPs is ideal here - let's rather work on fixing your connection with Afrihost.
Take a look at what the other guys suggest to see if this helps.

We need to keep the fewest variables possible. So testing another ISP will only reset things and doesn't give us a clear picture on what's happening.
Also, I assume you're consolidating this feedback as discussed via PM, for our team to look at?

Metadata is only downloaded when a magnet link is used, not in your case.

I think its the handshake between the seeds/trackers.

OK, but with Afrihost its having difficulty downloading the information so it has no seeds shown, and then nothing happens.

Mind pasting your settings here?
Or even trying a different torrent app?

No one else is reporting issues this evening - so let's get to the bottom of this once and for all.

I will report these issues although its no different from last night or the previous nights. I tried to reset the port, I have utorrent set to always use a random port, did not help.

I have switched back to Afrihost, restarted the same torrent I was downloading using Axxess, and now I have zero seeds listed, so the file is not downloading at all.

No as I have said before the issue occurs at around 19:00 every day and only affects P2P traffic and only on your network.

I've had and still do have the exact same issue for months now, tried your support months ago, Ive just given up and rather queue direct downloads for that time.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for the promised reply from Afrigenie from the last message regarding that issue on 14-01-2016

There are a bunch of helpful posts with ideas for you to try :)
What trackers are listed?

Installed qBittorrent v3.3.4, tried the linuxmint iso again, also sits, so its not torrent client related.
