Very good. Only the last few days has P2P performance been relatively poor, especially during working hours. But otherwise really great, especially with streaming.
Awesome! My super line isn't so random after all. :D

The guys on the later shift are supposed to go home at 8pm, I see they sometimes hang around a little later. Otherwise, PM is always good. We usually answer all our PM's within 24 hours :)

Definitely seeing the same. YouTube seemed OK for me, struggled a little on high res around 7-8 PM but was perfect on 480p and mostly on 720p.

Apologies, seems I have been posting my Afrihost experience in possibly the wrong area - this is a continuation of my post from http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/519939-Afrihost-Capped-latency-issues?p=16227326&posted=1

Thanks, not looking good at all here.
I see you're using Afrigreen - do you see the same performance using your regular account too?

If I swap over to the @afrihost, the lag spikes appears to be slightly worse (on the MTN backbone) - running Diablo III on the MTN network via AH is a certain death by latency :D

The only solution for me at the moment to enjoy gaming is to use my AH account for downloads and my 1GB free WA account for gaming.

Ping Plotter test on the MTN network:

PS: I trust it will be OK, if I continue this thread on the Afrihost POC Network Afrigreen Feedback page.

The feedback from the network team is that gaming should be good on Afrigreen, though I know some posts on this thread seem to indicate differently, particularly on Uncapped. Which product are you using?

Capped Afrihost account :/

Although - the current lag spikes and occasional packet loss issue affects playing PWI's Forsaken world the worst. GW2 and Battlenet games are playable, but the lag can become rather frustrating.

In game ping last night for Forsaken World:

Battlenet - Diablo III runs around double the norm (~500) during peak periods (which is obviously no fun when surrounded by mobs wanting to kill you :D)

Is a Telscum tech allowed to change my sync speed without my consent?
IIRC Sync speed is controlled by new software Telkom installed recently to ensure that you have a stable connection.

After a tech gave me a call yesterday asking me if my line was okay I replied yes, shortly after I saw that my sync speed is at 2mb. It was perfectly stable on a 4mb...never got disconnects and an avg speed of 3.5. I paid for a 4mb line so I think it's unacceptable for them to downgrade me. I called them and it was a manual change, the system did not change it, the stupid tech did.

That is most definitely a mistake which the Telkom technician should fix.

Technically speaking they can, their terms of service allow them to change sync profiles for best performance of the line and the exchange in general :(

The sad part is that Afrihost is supposed to manage my line, instead I'm the one sorting out this problem. #AfriSwag

We definitely should be able to help there. Happy to jump in for you if you need that sorted, just send me a PM :)

We've seen some performance issues on AfriGreen in the last few days, though by and large we're seeing a lot of improvement. Can you switch back and tell us exactly which services are giving problems? Real time services should be performing well :(
