Here's an interesting one...

On AfriGreen, I cannot get to https://www.immigration.govt.nz/

Switched to Web Africa - works.

Can access it no problem..

The server at www.immigration.govt.nz is taking too long to respond.

 oops had both connected...

There's some serious packet loss going on right now. Totally unusable again.

So this is my first day of testing Afrigreen on my 10meg capped account. All looking good. I stream 1080 youtube with no issues. Torrents flying at line speed. Hulu and Netflix stream with no issues. Browsing also no issues for me. DSTV stream not to good but could be from their side.

I am also getting same speed

AH supports suggestion ........... ag just downgrade to 2 megs. (But I have always synced at 4 megs and been charged for megs)

What wrong with you guys?

Is Gian ever going to answer the thread he started?

So I did a test today on normal business uncapped vs afrigreen:
Afrihost Normal and Afrigreen.jpg
I was on standard afrihost business uncapped till ~11:10pm when I switched to the afrigreen account and fired up a quake game. As you can see it ran pretty good up to just after 12 when all hell broke out, and is still breaking out.

Red vertical lines = packet loss.

One comment at this moment the myadsl site is very slow on Afrigreen in terms of response.

Here's a speed test:
1st try had unstable download at 1.3mbit followed by this:
slowunstable.JPG
2nd try had this:
2nderror.JPG
3rd try:
235252231.png

After this I switched back to the standard Afrihost Business Uncapped account, which during this same period runs like silk not a single dropped packet...

*Correction: that status of not a single packet dropped lasted for about 10 minutes...

Can confirm. Worse than dial-up. Average 14.77 kB/s down after about 10pm 4MB business uncapped. Afrigreen nearly pushed me to suicide tonight. Will have to read or w ank via imagination. Would share speed test but couldn't connect.

Afriman I respect you as a human but despise your organisation with all my being for the bull***** you've put me through the last weeks. Honestly, it is beyond unacceptable to ***** up so badly and keep charging the clients without a word unless they explode in fury. I hope you are at least slightly embarrassed (unless Gian is literally your father, loyalty shouldn't run that deep). You really should be. And save the so sorry stuff, k? Heard it before. Just fix this ****ing mess asap because there is only so much we can take here.

And I realise I am beta testing some super secret new sustainable network but please understand I only signed up out of utter desperation, not because I get off on the thrill of unpredictable service!

Very slow connection. Please note that the speed test never completed. The test timed out to JHB. 3rd test seems like it might work. Have to do an endless reload of pages. MB took 4 to open so that I can post this.
P2P works, but the rest does not work. I can't even connect to iCloud for my e-mails. And this started last night, but was tired, and not in the mood to post all the needed things like always.

I doubt Gian will be as active, seeing as some people really went a bit ape in the thread. I think he expected some frustration and anger, but quite honestly some people just took it way too far :(

To be honest, your line is weird. It shows latency on the BRAS, which we're assured by both Telkom and our network engineers cannot be influenced by our network. It's some kind of outlier that we don't see, I think it may be similar to something Hummercell also experienced. Really weird :(

Definitely concerning to any sort of packet loss. Was this off the traceroute to google.com? Was there any change in the routing?

I appreciate the respect, I think we do need to tone this down a little. What you do in your personal time aside, we're hear to engage and discuss and find solutions, not throw insults or accusations at each other. I do want to apologise that you're getting a poor experience, nobody wants that, I can promise you. Let's keep working together to make our new network (I mean "our" as in yours and mine) better so that that tomorrow is better than yesterday.

Having said ALL of that - I couldn't resist this:

Struggling to connect to both accounts (capped & green) this morning... Checked settings and logins... Both correct. Tried several times...

Is there anything we should know about in the South? (Cape Town)

Shouldn't be, I managed to connect this morning without a hitch. Drop me a PM with your username and let me see what I can from this side :(
