As far as I know, we're still working on some international peering, so some routing will be less than ideal. We don't think it should introduce too much latency to the extent that your experience will be significantly altered though.

UPDATE: Just checked with our network team and this particular route is one we are satisfied with so we won't see that change in the foreseeable future :)

I'm presuming the hop back to CPT form JHB will be eliminated when the CPT ipc becomes live?

Yup! That will definitely be an area that will be improved upon once the full-out commences. :)

Are you guys cutting costs on the call center nowadays? I'm sure it used to run longer hours than it now does?

Incoming calls close at 20h00, however, the Team is still available for 24 hour Support via email. You can also send a SMS with Help in it to 32541 and the Team will call you back at any time.

Thanks, will give that a shot. Hectic exchange congestion since Sunday.
 
Another Geo Location Issue:

Just tried to Book a Cruse with MSC and when ever you click on Book it responds along the lines off:

Restricted Access - You may only book on this web site from South Africa.

Just a quick question - how will AH be able to assist if it is exchange congestion?
I have had congestion since Feb and I keep getting told "it is up to Telkom to sort out congestion".
Don't get me wrong - if you guys can actually assist, that is AWESOME.
And if you can, please can I have some too?

Ping seems fine, however.
 
Just want to let you guys know. As of 4 hours ago, YouTube Gaming (Google's Twitch-like offering) has been set for worldwide release for today.

Hope the network is ready. Hopefully streams are served from Google CDNs so you guys don't have to do much.

Hmm that's weird. Could you give me the exact name of the website? Did you manage to book your cruise by switching back to your original account? :)

Good question, and you are quite right! Fixing congestion is mostly subject to Telkom's maintenance and upgrade schedule - and is something that no ISP really has control over, however, reporting it would not hurt at all and will hopefully aid in prioritizing any upgrade. ;)
