I agree, but 1080p should be easily attainable :) ... Just saying that last night was perfect

I'll agree with you there.
I see very similar throughput on a 1080p and 1440p video. What do your stats look like here?

Ok not sure if something changed but I can stream perfectly now :) ...

there is a slight lead on 1440p (little to no buffering) and can watch 1080p with no hassles :)

Video ID: s8Un0XB_8xk
Dimensions: 1280 x 720
Resolution: 2560 x 1440@30
Connection Speed:7453 Kbps
Dropped Frames:800

Hhhmm, OK.
No changes from our end, I think our guys are taking a night off from tweaking. Are those dropped frames being reported for the entire video or only a portion?

Browsing is feeling sluggish today, also loading imgur links via the AlienBlue client for reddit on my iPad is very slow. I believe they might be doing something with the traffic.

However this doesn't occur on other ISP's. Not quite sure how to demonstrate that :P

I think if you can give us a few steps to do exactly what you are doing, we can tests against your experience.

Essentially its just loading any images hosted via Imgur on the Alien Blue reddit app for iPad application. I'm using an iPad 2 air.

They have defaulted to using their image optimizer you can see the toggle here in the middle at the bottom of the screen. However both standard and optimal are very slow.

As an aside when I took the SS it took several minutes for the frontpage to even load. I believe Reddit uses several different access platforms, normal web, mobile and app based. It could be you guys haven't configured correctly for the latter...

Hey Guys

We're about to run some tests on the network. This is not designed to affect any realtime services, the tests are intended for P2P shaping.

Should start in the next few minutes.

Well it clobbered streaming :)
My running stream dropped from a steady 250KBs to 30KBs

I hope your p2p shaping isn't going to affect the business uncapped?
Please don't stuff it up - one of the few things that actually work for me during peak periods.

Not peak period and yet:

Download Speed: 565 kbps (70.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 288 kbps (36 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 116 ms
Tue Sep 08 2015 16:11:39 GMT+0200 (SAST)

And guess what - can stream from that particular website I have been talking about at 3.2 mbps.

Google play store updates running at 0.5 mbps.
YT running at more or less the same.
Browsing seems ok.
P2p running at 320 KB/s ( not stuffed up )

PS4 update from playstation website running at a measly 200kbps.
http://deu01.ps4.update.playstation...7c94f173d3cff0668430669b1ef4ddf/PS4UPDATE.PUP

This is getting ridiculous.

This is only testing, so P2P across the board may be affected.
If you're seeing issues please switch back to your regular account.

P2p luckily not borked.
But please read post 3471.
Same issues during peak times.
But this is hardly peak time.

The latency looks pretty terrible there. I can't recall 100%, but didn't we discuss exchange/ DSLAM issues in your area via PM?
