Ok Lost the Internet entirely there, Gmail timed out, no pages load ed but the Router was connected and in sync.
Switched to VOX and straight in no problem.

Is cape town down, dying, or can I try and switch back to Afrigreen?

Yep just happened to me too, even changing dns doesn't help. Switched over to afrired but gaming performance is sucking :/

yep afrigreen dead...same here....switched over to afrihost/mtn

Just after AfriGreen came back up speedtest showed as 3.1mbps. A few minutes later - 1.1 mbps.
NOT JUST MY EXCHANGE

Hi guys

Afrigreen should be back up now. Our team is aware of this.
We're actively working on an issue from our end, latency seems to be a bit problematic at the moment.

Latency is crap as hell again:

Guys this is on 2mbit business uncapped unshapped....

We're working on this :)

Switched back to AfriVannila and my stream speed jumped from 15KBs (Not a typo) to 1.06MBs.
Big difference, strange to see MtN out perform the rest.

EDIT:
Now AfriVannila has dropped to 40KBs.
I hope we are not going to be stuck with this for the weekend again...

Switching back to Telkom. That may not be as fashionable as the other ISP's but at least it is reliable.

Morning

We definitely saw the same issues posted here on the thread and the guys worked for several hours last night to isolate this and resolve but by all accounts this should be back to normal.

The team are still working through this to avoid anything like this occurring. The problem should have been mainly latency based, but may have affected throughput as well. Will post more details if I can get them for everyone :)

Should already be sorted, but the team should have an idea of what went south and make sure it doesn't happen over the weekend or at least be able to monitor for it.
