Afrihost print screen required

Hi

Can some one post up the print screen from the

Afri host client zone
tab My Free gifts
sub tab Domain hosting

I signed up for a free gift domain hosting and now have a R420 charge???? :confused:

Take it up with them, someone had the same problem and Afrihost admitted it was their problem.
 
I have the same issue. Have emailed accounts for clarification.
 
yeah I phoned.

But I want something in writing.

Thats why I always email and then phone if I dont get any joy. Then they must respond on the mail for my records.
 
This "free gift" was only available for the early subscribers - it was removed a day or two after launching the special. That said I also took them up on the offer and was charged the R420. They have however confirmed telephonically that it was an error on their side and that the renewal of R100 would only be due in a years time - however I am also still waiting for a formal reply to my emailed query as well as an answer from Gian to my pm to him.

Did you not get a email from them after setting up your domain confirming that the only cost would be the R100 renewal - just reply to the latest email referring them to that email.
 
As czc mentioned, the same thing happened to me. It was solved quickly. I just sent an email to their accounts department, saying that they accidentally billed me for my free gift. They replied quickly and said that it's their mistake and fixed it.

They are using new account software or something. Just mail them and it will all be sorted out within the hour. :)
 
Have they already deducted/debited the money from your account?

If so, then i understand your frustration.

If not, then maybe just at least give them a chance to respond

It just seems funny to me how the ones who are quickest to run here to whinge first, as opposed to the ones who seem to approach the company in question first, always seem to have the biggest issues.

Moral of the story, guys, try the USUAL means to resolve your issue before resorting to name smearing...

Just for the record not my experience - mailed them last week Thursday and received an automated ticket number within a few minutes (Also pm'd Gian on the forum).

Having had no further response from either their accounts department or Gian by today I called and was told that their records do not show anything outstanding. However to date I have not had any formal response from the accounts department to let me know that the ticket had been cleared and the mistake rectified or any response from Gian which is somewhat disappointing.
