I connected from ONT and ran ipconfig as per above.
Then connected back via router and internet is back but slow speeds again :)

Thank you, you may also run a traceroute test to the default gateway IP 100.98.8.1
 
so what is the actual issue with AH and Vuma? I'm not on Vuma.. but can't miss the endless issues being reported.

It's not just AH having the problems. I'm on CISP and going through the same thing basically. Intermittent connection or a couple hours of no internet. Apparently it is a DFA problem and it's what's causing all of this only on the Vuma Villages network since they use DFA as their backhaul.

There is a software bug in one of the network layers that is affecting the Afrihost VLAN on Vuma villages. Vuma is pushing their vendor to get involved and help resolve the issue.

So AH's problem is completely different? No one complaining about intermittent connection on PPPoE connections? Besides what's happening now

We are using DHCP on Vuma Villages, there are a few clients for that we have tested PPPoE during this network issue, however, it does not help when the whole of the VV Network is down.
 
Noticing a slight increase in latency on MetroFibre since the 30min drop last night, usually my ping to CPT is 11ms. Not really too bothersome, just unusual.

Usual EU ping is about 20-30ms higher too.

Edit: restarted ONT & Router a few times already, no change.
