Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

You cannot work or play online FPS when the internet connection keeps dropping. This is crazy!! I remember moving from Cool Ideas many years ago to Home-Connect for exactly the same reason.

Really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The second impact has been mitigated.
 
Minor outage of about 10 minutes (01h05 ~ 01h15) on Openserve in Klipkop/Parow. Not sure what the issue was. All seems good now.

I do see a dip in the traffic for those times but it seems minor and not a complete traffic drop. Might have been maintenance related in the area.

Speaking of maintenance. There is some maintenance on Openserve in Gauteng going on now that might drop traffic a bit.

At 03:10 this morning a config was attempted that we were hoping will be a permanent solution but unfortunately, this was not successful.

Youtube slow for anyone else?

Speedtest is full speed and browsing feels fast yet youtube is really slow

Just popped in to say that I've had my fiber line for 2 years so far with Afrihost. Constant speeds, great ping and it hasn't gone down not once, green lights on ONT for 2 years and counting! Great network!

Appears to still be quite slow, and as soon as I activate warp the buffering stops. Will just warp for now and check later if it still continues

I had general hiccups here and there but nothing major for most of time with them also quite pleased with the network and service
