Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Ive had enough.. something needs to be done . I'm tired of logging support call after support call, only to do speed tests then receive no further feedback. Direct speedtest from router, like clockwork during peak times this happens. Frogfoot

Firstly, test what happens if you use a different router (and thus a different IP).
If it works (with a new IP)... TELL them you to give you a new IP. Even a public IP.

Your IP is being throttled. Has happened a couple times to me, a "new" IP solving the issue.

And apparently Afrihost's SLA is that if YOU don't follow up in 72 hours, the ticket gets closed. Load of bullshit.

Surely the IP should then change if I test directly from ONT with a plugged in pc? I get the same result regardless of the device connected to the ONT.. be that router or pc

Correct.
Ah, nevermind then.

72 hours is ample time to respond in my honest opinion

Generally the feedback is not terrible when waiting for Afrihost to do something. But when they log a call with provider, I've found the feedback just stops. If we are lucky the provider sends someone out, they do a few speedtests and leave, closing the call. No effort is made to sort out the actual problem.

Most FNOs do not like to do much as they never think it is their fault

Hi @Afrigirl

Just a heads up, looks like cdn.afrihost.com is redirecting to www.cdn.afrihost.com, breaking images in invoices etc :)

Code:
➜  ~ curl -v https://cdn.afrihost.com/mailshots/system/accounts/tax_invoice/images/txt-description.png
*   Trying 104.22.30.201:443...
