Twitch download bitrate seems to be capping out at approximately 180 Kbps which means everything's buffering, even with the res reduced to 160p

@Afrigirl @AfriGuy any issues right now? Twitch streams buffering every 10 seconds - line looks fine however

Hi

Not seeing anything odd on the network.

Twitch has changed to serve traffic from Amazon and Akamai recently and people seem to complain when its served from these caches but our caches in JHB and CPT are not congested and are performing pretty well.

If you are using a browser you can install the extension called ipvfoo to see where the traffic is served from.

Yeah I'm having the same issue in Durban.

I have reached out to Twitch to see if there is anything we can do for our clients to remove us from being served by their CDN providers and rather serve us the traffic directly.

If I connect to cloudflare Warp, the problem goes away, so not sure why twitch would serve differently to them.

Access to Mybroadband via openserve fibre slows down to a crawl every evening. Been like this the past week.

Openserve Pietermaritzburg here, every evening things buffer such as Netflix, TikTok, DStv, Prime Video, Facebook.

However speed tests show full speed, only YouTube works 100%, everything else is intermittent.
