Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Anyone else having issues with samsung galaxy store and other samsung apps not connecting to internet. Just loading but when switching to LTE it works fine. On Vumatel 500/250

I saw they have a backhaul failure going on in cape town on their page so might be getting redirected to international? It looks like I am

All backhaul links failed between JHB and CPT and traffic was routed via International. 1 x high capacity link has since restored however the risk remains until the remaining links come back online.
 
Hi Everyone.

Probably not the correct threat to ask this question, but what are your international gaming pings like on Afrihost? I play pubg now and then noticed that my ping sits at around 195-220 which i feel is a bit on the high side. I see some people are getting 140-160 in SA.

I am in Joburg Vuma/Afrihost 500/250
 
I wonder what's up with the single threaded speed to the local Real Debrid CDN:

Yes by source I mean whatever is feeding the CDN's on the other side. Server in France to the CDN maybe there is an issue with the peering there because I tested Cloudflare and cdn77 at NAP JHB from other sources and I max my 1Gbps line.
 
@AfriNatic I have PM you and now you say i cleared the fault. I have not recieved any call or gave any instruction to close this fault. the fault is NOT resolved. Can you please put pressure on the team as i want thsi resolved. also how can they make a statement which is false client cleared the fault and i had not even been contacted.

Just received excellent service via whatsapp chat with Madali C in resolving my parents Openserve connectivity problem. Struggled to connect to the internet, troubeshooting was done, the line reset was done, rebooted ONT and Router, and internet running like it should. Would recommend 5 stars for this excellent service. Keep it up. @AfriNatic @Afrigirl @Afrihost-Gian

You didn't try turning it off and on again before contacting support?
