Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Thanks again for the cheap cheap upgrade. Missed having 200/200. Best BF special yet :)
How did you get the upgrade? On openserve? Did you get an email or something or upgraded via client zone ?

I kinda just wish afrihost advertised on the black Friday special that there was an immediate charge they were going to do, went through the entire process and not once did it say they would do an immediate prorata payment, and because I'm currently unemployed and funds are tight the payment bounced and they are charging an admin fee for the payment they didn't notify about and when I made a support ticket, they just straight out are ignoring it, 1 day to pay before they cut my Internet and force an immediate unnotified payment causing an admin charge, seriously unprofessional, worse thing is I don't mind paying if I had been notified of such as I love the promotion and want to go for it, but seriously not cool forcing an unnotified payment and admin charge and also only sending the invoice saying payment is needed 20 minutes after the charge attempt @Afrigirl @AfriGuy @Afrihost-Gian

Please drop me a pm with your email address so I can see what I can do for you.

@Afri I have 1 question.
why is it every time i want the pppoe login details I have to always reset it for customers that change this crap router you guys send them?

Is your network this unsecured?
You take a simple network upgrade that takes less 30min to do and turn it into a 2 hour operation for any network tech.

Hi @Afrigirl I was hoping for some redress (even wishfully thinking this would happen as a matter of course, especially when the call centre wallahs claim it will be no problem). Almost two full weeks of no service and resulting intolerable customer harm.
The credit has been passed.

Hi.

I don't understand the question.
You don't have to reset the password every time you switch routers; the client can save it for them to remember.
The password is usable immediately after being reset, but I know Clientzone advises waiting at least 30 minutes before using it.

How'd you get this right? I thought the new speeds/BF specials were for new customers only? I actually tried getting my line speed upgraded to the newer packages, but was told its only for new clients?

@Afrigirl Can you perhaps confirm?

Vuma Black Friday promotion for existing clients:
Emails are being sent to clients to opt-in for the speed promo they qualify for.
  • Clients will stay on that package (at a discounted price) for 12 months.

  • After 12 months, we'll email them, and they can choose to stay on the higher package and pay the regular price or downgrade to their previous package.
  • Upgrades for existing clients are fixed and can only upgrade to the package they qualify for.

@Pho3nix had a 50/50 line; with the promo, they qualify for a 200/200 at a discounted price of R827.

Is there any way to raise two seperate tickets for two seperate issues on Clientzone? When I tried, it just appends the second ticket to the first. I'm worried that since the connectivity ticket is now just appended to the accounts and billing ticket, it'll take longer to be looked at

Yeah, it should allow you to have separate tickets especially if they are with two different departments.

Please share the ticket ID.

Is there any special for OpenServe fibre?

Hi Afrihost Reps

Im on the Afrihost (with Vuma) site and see deals cheaper than the one I am currently on (50/50 - R757).

The 100/50 for R519 and 100/100 for R667, is that only for new sign ups/transfers, existing clients don't qualify for these prices?
