Good morning,

We apologise for the service disruption experienced last night. The issue was caused by a dual NLD failure between CPT and JHB, resulting in degraded service.

Our upstream provider has confirmed that the fault has been resolved and services have been restored.

Would this explain why YouTube is all funky & slow?

Trying to watch this video and it just stops and buffers the whole time from around 8mins onwards.

No packetloss at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestion, it was a little bit better on Edge, or maybe just my imagination, but still getting buffering after a while:

No browser extensions, just straight Edge. Previous tests were on Brave.

Seeing the same on the MiBox.

I've had this problem for a while and thought at first that it's Youtube punishing me for using an adblocker, so I got Youtube premium but the result was exactly the same.

Been like this for quite a while watching 4k content at times.

If using brave, check that the secure DNS setting is turned off otherwise you'll be using cloud flare DNS and not Afrihost.
 
Hi guys,

Could someone assist my cousin with Ticket ID: QJA-365-42978

She seems to have such a rare fault with a new install no one can tell her what is happening or when it will be resolved.

New diver was installed last Friday and she is still offline.

Hi.

The Vuma Coastal install is looking into the escalation.
 
Experienced the same with Youtube. Afrihost need to fix this and not let us blame as that an youtube glitch
