@AfriGuy @AfriFella my connection just dropped and I'm busy working. Can somebody please contact me? I'm currently using my mobile data.

My line just got cut off and I have no idea why. No email or SMS, nothing. I concede that it might have been something I did, but then at least tell me.Yesterday I had a billing issue on my home Fibre line which I was pretty angry about - but thank you guys for fixing it - I sent some pretty angry email and rating for the guy who initially helped me, I am ready to take all of it back and shake hands... I just logged on and I see I was issued with a credit note which honestly you did not have to issue, but I am grateful, nonetheless. My team and I are from home, so with that being sorted, I can relax and get paid. Thank you. As we say in Zululand, ngiyabonga
@AfriGuy day six of being down on Frogfoot. It came up after 120 hours of downtime for a few hours then after rebooting the router it's offline again unable to get an IP from the DHCP server. Came on again late last night and this morning I decided to reboot to make sure it's fixed and clearly it is still not fixed because it wont come online again.

If it comes up I don't want to sit and prey that the router doesn't reboot or it'll be down for days on end, this needs to be fixed. Support needs to follow up with FF.

Worst part is the fact that I cannot even log into ClientZone now as it says my account has been disabled.![]()
How long does it take you to get an IP? Managed to get one now directly plugging into the ONT but as soon as we switch back to the router it loses it again.@AfriGuy
Been having the same issue since I went live on Afrihost, last week Wednesday. Also on Frogfoot network. After a reboot, router does not get a DHCP IP. I've tested it with multiple routers, Netgear and Tenda and both of them give the same issue.

ah great idea - will do that next time this line gets an IP.From my tests so far, router can take anything from 1 to 4 hours to finally get a DHCP IP. So what I've done is took down the details of the DHCP that I got and configure it as static on the router to restore my connection after a reboot.
I switch the router back to DHCP in the evenings when I go to bed, it's usually got a DHCP IP again the next morning. It of course loose it again the next day when support asks me to disconnect the router and connect my laptop to the ONT.
figured out the subnet and gateway from my previous IP and connected now, showed AH supportFrom my tests so far, router can take anything from 1 to 4 hours to finally get a DHCP IP. Eventually got a reply from OpenserveNot quite my question... was asking why OpenServe is stuck on 200/100 when other providers have been delivering faster for cheaper for ages now ? My changing providers statement wasn't meant for now, but in general. I can't afford to be offline for days or weeks between cutovers
Eventually got a reply from Openserve
"The limit of the product (200/100) is based on current take up and trends. We are not seeing a demand for higher than 200Mbps speeds at this stage".

John just replied to my ticket and told me that I should set my IP to static while they investigate.. seems they may finally understand the problem.Nice one. Glad you managed to get online again.
I've updated my support ticket with your ticket number, lets hope they manage to get this sorted.
Thanks for the update. John is also looking at my ticket but I haven't received any updates from him yet.@Jovs just got an SMS from AH "Frogfoot confirmed the reason why the link cannot map, is because the account is terminated with them. We have escalated to Fibre Ops to have this corrected for you"
Now this sux bigtime.Eventually got a reply from Openserve

I've sent a ClientZone ticket, email, Whatsapp ticket and MyBroadband PM.
No one at this company has actually replied with an answer as to whether or not I can cancel this month and not pay a cancellation penalty.
Come on now?Just give me a yes or no!
Resolved. ThanlsSorry about that - the do drop the ball a lot lately, coupled with network load of people working from home. I hope you get sorted pretty soon
