Have these darn cables been damaged again in the last hour or so?

What is the issue? Latency or slow speeds? Example so I can test from my side and you can compare to maybe isolate the issue.

Steaming content from the UK, but in the last 15 min or so its been good, but for about and hour it was like the cables had gone down even the VPN refused to connect , so lets see, thanks mate

@cavedog what does your iperf look like with the following settings: iperf3.exe -R -u -b 80M -p 17001 -c queen.cisp.co.za

and 160M

I'm just curious, because i get anywhere from 1-2% packetloss on cisp and i also see some packetloss on my vox account.

Hey guys please excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge regarding this but what does this do? I ran the same parameters on the tool and was wondering if anyone could drop some knowledge and explain what is happening here?

It tests for packet loss when sending/receiving data on your line. From my understanding, the parameter "80M" means 80mbps, so it tries to send the amount of data 80mbps would do in a second. If your connection can't keep up with trying to send that much data in that window of time the packets will time out resulting in packet loss. The -R parameter means that you are receiving data from a host and -u means its sending packets using the UDP protocol.

Speeds are good tonight but support still sucks despite so many channels (Twitter, MyBroadband, Whatsapp, Email, Phone) not sure of under staffing or quality control is the problem :(

Why don't you post what the issue is?

Hi @AfriGuy @AfriFella @Afrihost-Gian

I signed up for Afrihost Pure Fibre on Openserve, and need to now migrate to another ISP. I looked at your terms and it states as long as I am outside the six month window I don't get any cancellation fees?

My PPPoE username and password was given to me on 8 November 2019, I was effectively a customer from this date, so counting November, December, Jan, Feb, March and April - if I sent my cancellation in to have effect end of April I don't have to pay any cancellation fees, right?

Can you give me an answer?

The term says longer than 6 months, you've had the package since 8 November 2019. That makes today 5 months, doesn't it?

Either way, why don't you try cancelling in ClientZone to see what it says? Surely that's easier than waiting for a reply from support?

One agent says no fees, another said yes fees. Both in writing, I asked the 2nd confirm with their supervisor and was told no supervisors. I don't want a grand going off my account when they decide which answer to stick to

Its 6 months from sign up date as far as i understand it. I signed up on the 3rd of september and after the 6th month passed (february) i cancelled for end of march and incurred no fees. So for you that'd be end of may.
