@AfriGuy @AfriFella How long does take for a package downgrade to kick in ? I've downgraded my Openserve package yesterday from 200/100 to 10/5, and according to the message it would've kicked in at midnight. I see this morning it's still the same and Clientzone states "There is a pending package change on this product." Since it's getting close to billing, I'm not about to pay for the 200/100 ...

You did not downgrade in time. Downgrades or cancellations need to take place on or before the 17th of the month to happen the same month.

hmmm, then it shouldn't say this
"I accept that this package change will take effect at midnight and there might be a short period during which I will have no Internet Access"

Cancellations needs to be in before the 15th , doesn't say anything about downgrades

All in all a bit confusing for me :)

Package Upgrades
A package upgrade is immediate and you will be billed pro-rata from the moment you confirm the upgrade.

Package Downgrades
Package downgrades take place at the beginning of the following month and you don’t get billed for any downgrade that you do. The new billing for the downgraded package will commence at the beginning of the following month. Make sure that your downgrade happens before our billing run.
(The Afrihost monthly billing runs from the 22nd of the month to the 5th of the following month.)

We currently do not offer referral discounts for Fibre. It is only ADSL and Hosting so far. It is a good suggestion though. Perhaps the future might offer that.

I'm sending them the referral link anyway. You can credit my account for that 50% once you guys implement it. But first you need to pinkie promise.

This speed issue might be OS or something related because my route is exactly the same as yours but my connection is perfect.

Hi cavedog. when testing on the android the result are reversed compared to windows. download higher then upload in the scenario to washington. This is a real talespin. however i have come to a gpo in windows 10 that normally throttles to 80% of the link by default. i change it so there is no limit

Just FYI since last nigh around 6:00 pm i test and no idea what has happen but i was successfully able to stream hulu at 720p with a VPN. what ever has change please can it stay like this.

Well same 10GB browser dl... OS is almost double the speed (13MB) of the FF one (7.5) :D Not what I expected... And then I changed location to Sweden where FF will spike to above 30MB/s and OS around 20MB or so. OS seems to hold its speed better than FF. I'm not too impressed with the FF offering. It should run circles around OS , but it doesn't . Keep in mind that I'm on the 1Gbps package till June. Mostly It barely outperfroms OS on speedtest to Proxar IT (London), other times OS just kicks its arse. There might a bit of other traffic on the FF line (OS is now single use only), but with that kind of package it should not even feel it

Wouldn't mind if the Afri-people can comment on this. I haven't been paying attention to the reported quality (or lack there of) of the FF offering in this thread. Is this common for the higher packages ? 200+ ...

Obviously locally the FF package will be superior, but international..... Will be interesting to see/hear what the 200 and 500 lines are doing...
