Just some feedback, got a call from AH, did a few tests to try and pinpoint the issue again. Few minutes later back to full speed, but it is a temp fix on my IP. The other users in my Sub Net seems fine, its only my IP.

I mentioned the trouble I had between my line activation last week Friday, and the AH package being re-created after struggling to get internet earlier this week. Like @cavedog has mentioned, he also said this issue makes NO sense, its not obvious on the network.

He will leave my line as is, and dig some more and provide feedback later.

Here we go again, a week later and still not resolved. I am starting to think that this issue might be way above AH's head and maybe they are unable fix it. Well, it's the only logical solution I can make at this stage taking the lack of feedback and nobody taking ownership of the issue into account

Hi svenh,

Really sorry you are experiencing these issue. We have picked up some hidden issues that we are trying to pinpoint and address.

Would you mind sending me a private message with your current ip address so I can look into it for you?

Hi Tjoker,

That is awesome news! I'm glad we could get the issue resolved. It's a very tricky one indeed!

Yeah that’s true, is this device pulling an public IP from the 102.x prefix or 169.x prefix?

Users are seeing it from different FNO so not isolated to one FNO.

Hi Alex,

Would you mind sending me your current IP? We believe the issues you are experiencing might be related and want to get to the bottom of it ASAP!

Hello,

My issue seems to be resolved as well, I powered down my ONT for around 10mins this afternoon, powered it back up, the ONT powered on normally and synced with the OLT but my traffic stopped on the 3rd hop and I left it as is for the next 5mins, then I rebooted the ONT again and Internet was restored.

Since then, I haven’t had a single issue wrt the odd latency on 169.1.21.1 nor any PL which meant my throughput is golden again :D

What was the issue if I may ask?

Great stuff! Golden we'll take that!

We are trying to figure that out to be honest. It seems like it was a small gremlin trying to hide from us. It's not a network wide issue but rather an issue related to new clients that might have had an issue with activation.

Ah okay cool thanks so much just glad things are back to normal again :thumbsup:

My issue is also resolved just now I am so relieved.
Thanks Afrihost, I think I will stay on a little longer now :)

Hi svenh,

That is GREAT news. I really appreciate you giving us another chance. We really want to make it up to you going forward! I will keep in touch just to make sure we don't drop the ball again.

Any issue with intl upload ? Not that it bothers me.. was just doing a few random speedtests to Proxar IT in London.. and it's sitting on around 5-6 Mbps, while DL is anywhere from 180-320

Could just be windows related.

If you test with the speedtest windows app or maybe on Android you should notice an improvement.

Dropped for a few seconds on vuma.

Anyone else?

Ping statistics for 8.8.8.8:
Packets: Sent = 96, Received = 92, Lost = 4 (4% loss),

Good Morning Tjoker,
Sorry for the speed issues you're getting from the weekend.
Did you run any trace routes / latency test we can look into?

Did Cavedog's advice help? Please do let us know if the upload speeds improved? :)
