Afrihost has become unusable in the evenings for the past two weeks! I have a 100mb line and hardly get 4mb in the evening with very high latency packet loss..

Very close to canceling.. Doing a traceroute clearly shows that your networks are the bottleneck.

What's going on here???
Show the trace so we can compare?

Hi there,

Sorry for the bad experience you are receiving.

Can you post a trace route for us to have a look at where the issue might be?

Are you on Openserve in Centurion?

We are seeing the same and suspect there might be an OLT on the Openserve network that is congested.

Please drop me a pm with your clientzone email address for me to have a look.

Not sure what happened, did the package change and afrinatic helped by forcing the upgrade to 25mbps. worked fine for about 30 mins then after that it just reverted back to old 10meg speed every time im doing speed tests. like it got upgraded and then reverted. clientzone still shows the 25meg package though so not sure whats happening

Edit: Fixed now
Same happened to me but I after I rebooted my ONT about 45min ago it's stuck to 25/25. Not sure if it required that or I just rebooted after AH fixed it but it's working now

They mesh wirelessly too. I just put my second router next to the B818 and pushed the H button. Couple of seconds later and it was all good to go.

My B618 only has a WPS button, but from what I understand this is the same thing as H or Hi, is this correct?

I'll be able to play and figure out once I get my WS5200, between it, my B618 and TP-Link Archer C9 I should be covered. Unfortunately the Archer C9 doesn't support mesh networking or as far as I know anyway, it's a very nice router apart from that.

Someone has messed up somewhere - my 100/50 line give me a whopping 2/45 (yes that is 2 down 46 up !) atm according to speedtest.net.
I am also in Centurion.

Took a look around and @PDF_27 in the Cool Ideas thread is having the same issue. Also Openserve Centurion.

I mean, figures that it's not just us guys on Afrihost getting shafted, but man... feels like it's gonna suck for a while til OS get this fixed.

I was busy losing my mind, also on OpenServe Centurion. 200 meg line, which is giving me 2 meg down and 10 meg up. @AfriNatic do you need my details?

Please do send your details through for me to log a fault.

The more faults we log it would become clear to Openserve to investigate further.

My 50Mbps connection, which was to be upgraded to 100Mbps, seems to have dropped down to ~10Mbps on the download side.

Is this due to the same Openserve issue, or is there something else going on?

Are you still experiencing slow speed issues?

I have your details. I would like to log a fault for this as we are seeing quite a number of clients complaining about the same issue all in Centurion area.

Hi,

Please send me your clientzone email address for me to log a fault for you.
I logged a call with clientzone already - they have already tried to reset my port (I must say I am really impressed with the speed of the response from the support desk) - but no luck so far.

I have logged faults for everyone and went through the ticket queue and there are quite a large number of complaints all from the same area. I have noted all the accounts and B numbers and will follow up with the faults logged.
