Please double check your cables are all cat5e or higher and that the connection mode is negotiated at 1Gbps.

Speedtests showing a 95Mbps cap is usually related to a cable that is negotiated at 100Mbps. Vumatel has 10% extra on speed caps to allow clients full line speeds.

SMS just in. The line speed downgrades do appear to be generally much more efficient and seamless than the upgrades... ;)

Hi Everyone,

We are attending to all queries. We have seen a huge influx of support requests via various platforms. Our teams are still online and are clearing the call back queue and will be on shift until 11pm tonight.

Apologies for the delayed responses via ticket, calls and whatsapp.

Hi @AfriNatic .
I have an openserve install that was just completed in Cape Town.

If I sign up with Afrihost, where do I break out into your network, @ Teraco Cape Town or Teraco JHB or Telkom Data Centre in Bellville. i.e. Where is the IPC?

Should be Teraco now since it has been moved from the Telkom Data center even in JHB it use to be in Rosebank but it's in Teraco now.

If I don't do anything with regards to my line will it be upgraded anyway or does it need manual intervention?

Should be done automatically.

The Vuma changes are done we are working on making sure everyone is on the correct line speeds.

Morning. Any idea when the upgrades will be complete? Still on 1000/100?

AfriNatic - PM sent :)

I also would like to know when these promised upgrades will take place. WhatsApp yesterday Afrihost and this is the answer.

"Thank you. we apologize for any Inconvenience caused by this,

We are aware that some package changes have not been completed and we are liaising with Vumatel to correct this. Please mention to clients that we are aware of the issue and trying to correct this as soon as possible."

So I thought let's ask Vumatel; this is what they said.

"Good morning, understood - please ask them to log it so that it can recorded to get done please."

Now what, am I being taken for a ride, ping ping :-(

I was on 50/5 package which is now saying 100/100 in clientzone, but when I do a speedtest, I get 50/50. Vuma trenched durban.

International is really poor atm. Some sites struggling to load, speedtest.net unable to complete a test. Anyone else? Openserve in PE.
