Hi

With the vumatel price/packages changes what is going to happen with those of us on 20/20Mbps? If there going to be a price drop for this package or are we going to be migrated to 20/10Mbps or 50/50Mbps?

20/20 clients are moving to 50/50 with a price drop.

We have made the changes in clientzone already for everyone. If you wish to change the package make sure to do the package change today as from Midnight billing run starts and will generate July invoices and downgrades will be scheduled for the end of July.

I was a bit eager and did the change myself last night. I presume seeing as I made the change last night the net effect will be nothing? IE I will end up with the 50/50?

Yes that is correct. It might fail but we will correct it. The system currently doesn't know what will happen on the 1st so it will try to place a regrade order at midnight for the new speeds. If you are on the new speeds this will fail and will just correct that manually.

Hi @AfriNatic , any reason why i would be getting 55.38Mbps on a 100Mbps package? This from my laptop and phone standing right in front of the router.
I was on the 100/10 package which has been upgraded to the 100/100 package - could it have something to do with this?

When you are already infront of the router why not just plug in an ethernet cable and check?

The new speeds kick in from the 1st of July.

Right now you should be getting the 100/10 speeds though.

Thanks, this is to the EUW region with the main farm IP's being 162.249.72.1 and 185.40.65.1

I know Riot (LoL's) developers have said they are happy to assist ISP's identify optimal routes to their servers. I believe MWEB (OPTINET) has one of the best routes (147-153ms)

It still defaults to KZN when I am in PTA but the bufferbloat issue is something I need resolve on my side or contact the developers

LAN 0-2ms under load

That tells me its something on my side

We have notice that Netflix IPv6 traffic tends to favour Durban and CPT. We are working on that but it's only for content served and not always. If you have a look at your latency it's still around 5ms which means the server would have been JHB as latency from JHB to DUR is about 11ms.
