Here is their reference number: ISP-429084. Guess they will just have to wait. Thanks AfriNatic

I would need to log it.

I don't see any issues reported.
I see there is a notice up for JHB. I think EL will then be effected too ?

Unrelated however our ticket queue and whatsapp is getting so many complaints for the same issue from PTA, JHB and EL.

We will add a notice in the mean time while Frogfoot is investigating.

Anyone stream DSTV now live channels?

How often do you see buffering or streaming issues ?

I only stream it for the F1, and it did buffer/ have issues this Saturday during the qualifying, but I think that was more of a DSTV issue, because friends also watched the F1 and all of us have different ISPs and FNO's and we all buffered at the same time

Used to watch it quite often and it buffered a lot. Seems like some channels more than others, ewn and SABC news, MTV music 24 constantly but seems comedy central / food network buffer a lot less often

Morning!

Seem to be having intermittent issues currently connecting to anything hosted by AWS. Possibly just me, but was wondering if anyone else was experiencing issues?

Fixed now haha. Must have just been something small on my end :)

@AfriNatic My 200Mbps MFN is performing worse than when my line was 100Mbps. I have logged a ticket - seems your support team is scripting me again (JDP-439-77006).

Below test results done directly on ONT and router via cable. I repeat this was not done over WiFi

Please help. Been sitting more than a week with your team.

Thanks

Hi Rav,

I have sent you a mail via the ticket.

Just wanted to confirm that the issue is resolved and the current model and version number of the ONT installed.

There is a known vendor issue we are working with MetroFibre for quite some time now. Calix is working on a more permanent fix but contractors have been advise to only install certain ONT model numbers in area served by a E7-2 Calix OLT. If not the client experiences slow international speeds on the 200 and 300Mbps profiles.

@AfriNatic

Hi

With the vumatel price/packages changes what is going to happen with those of us on 20/20Mbps? If there going to be a price drop for this package or are we going to be migrated to 20/10Mbps or 50/50Mbps?

Morning all,
Finally some good news about the Vuma price cuts. About time.
Any idea when they will be implemented? I see the new packages are already on the homepage and the changes are reflected in the clientzone (although i still only have a 100MB upload on speedtest)

I am on the 1GB/100 at the moment. I do a lot of streaming (up to 4 devices at a time), work from home. Average usage around 1.3TB per month Should i keep the package (and get the extra 100MB upload and 50 bucks saving) or go to 200/200 and save R350?

You'll be fine with either. We've got people in our team using Vodacom 10/10 with no issues wfh and their video is always clear.

Theoretically, 4x 4k stream should cap out at 80-100Mbit (depending on compression, bit rate, etc) so you're really fine with either 1000/200 or 200/200.

If you want bragging rights stay on 1000/200. :)
