Still having YouTube issues and slow international website loading. Some YouTube and website IP's for you:

172.217.170.110
169.1.3.141
74.125.100.71
104.17.212.81
217.26.54.11

The slow websites are a major issue while working on websites. Sorry to disturb your leave but hopefully @AfriGuy can assist in the meantime.
The Youtube matter seems to be linked to a Google capacity issue that is currently be addressed.

also having very slow play store speeds tonight -> less than1% of line throughput (over 3minutes to download a 50MB app)
thought it was my wifi, and then switching off wifi -> voila -> 4 seconds on LTE.

grrrrrrrrrrr

But how can it be Google traffic congestion if my Youtube and play store downloads are full line speed on Cool ideas?

Getting punished for pushing too much traffic.

They don't like the amount of traffic we generate. Smaller ISP's don't seem to suffer as much.

Hardware shortages means even more difficult to get GGC upgrades...

How is Telkom doing? surely the biggest ISP in terms of google data volume in SA? or perhaps VC and MTN?

They have huge on-net GGC caches. It makes sense because they have millions of subscribers.

Cool Ideas said they also have a cache in JHB. Difficult to calm the family down lately around this :(

Yes they do.

It's a difficult situation now. Google kicks Afrihost off JHB from around 3pm and move to Kenya then 1 hour later kick us off there and start bouncing us around the globe.

Congestion in JHB and hardware availability issues to deploy and upgrade caches.

I'd be interested to know how they manage this. Do they stop advertising to you?
How do they route customers around?

Is it JHB only? Why isnt CPT affected?
If its because you have GGC in CPT (which I know you do), cant you backhaul some of it to there?

Only JHB. We have caches in CPT and KZN. There isn't enough capacity there. Once again waiting and waiting and waiting for upgrades.

We explored using the public cache in KZN. KZN-NOG from AS328365 but they only use INX and especially DINX which isn't feasible for us.

We still working on a solution.

Insane how they just think they can bop you off of the caches in JHB.

With that said, I'd expect the international caches to also be able to work, just a little slower with the latency.
Is there not enough backhaul internationally to sustain that traffic?

Your biggest traffic mover just went from NAP to international destinations I guess, hard work for any ISP.

I'm in CT (Somerset west) and my YouTube has been buffering like a pro the last few nights. Started about 2 weeks ago.

Any reason why Cloudflare is now routing via JHB from CPT?

EDIT: I see it is re-routed my bad.
