What’s up with usenet at the moment?Been up and down for more than a day.Can barely get 1Mbps on a 200Mbp line. This is on Openserve.
Same problem here.

First bump getting just past 1Mbps was actual downloads. 2nd Spike was me trying to figure out why I was getting such slow downloads by switching between news servers. Tried 3 different usenet providers and all of them had the same poor performance.

I'm on FrogFoot, so it isn't a provider problem, it has to be upstream (like Afrihost).

Even opening imgur links in the evening is staggeringly slow until I connect to a VPN.

I'm growing more and more frustrated with the poor overall network performance I'm getting from Afrihost (not to mention the troubles with FrogFoot in the WC region).

imgur has been slow for me as well, it takes about 15-20 seconds to load at times.

Constant packet loss on apex legends and twitter is super slow. VPN definitely helps but this needs some investigation.

my openserve is dropping pppoe non stop today :| first time i've had issues in years.. n subs cpt

Hi, I need to download a few big files over the next couple of days, so need to upgrade for this month only.
can I upgrade today (for the rest of the month) and downgrade before 22nd to get back to old speeds from 1 July?

Yeah you can do that. I've done it before. Depends when your speed upgrade goes through, normally within 2 hours but sometimes a little longer.

Just downgrade before the 21st

This is on a 500/250Mbps Openserve line in PE. What's going on?

Good Morning,

Sorry for the late reply. Are you still experiencing issues?

Morning,

Yes you can submit the upgrade. It takes about 2 hours or so to complete and then you can submit the downgrade again which will be scheduled for the end of this month.

Anyone connection speed increased this morning ?

Not as yet, I would assume they will be running the scrip today only so perhaps most of us will be sorted tomorrow morning.

Morning,

The upgrades will be a phased approach. We should see some upgrades from today.

Thanks for getting back to me. It was fine last and is still today. I suspect there was a contention issue in the area on Friday and Saturday evening. I showed the actual router info instead of speedtest results to eliminate possible issues on the internal network

Okay let me know if you notice it again. Might have been an NLD outage that caused the degraded performance.

Question about the speed upgrades.

At my parents house at the moment and doing a Vuma Speedtest I see the new speed but on normal Speedtest.net I see the old one.

Don't the reboot etc stuff. Is it just a situation of waiting it out?

Our dev team is still working on these changes. I'm hopeful it will be fixed by the end of the day.
