Openserve was doing maintenance on the NNI. There were a couple of brief outages. Apologies for the issues experienced.
Mine died an hour ago and it's still offline, I'm assuming the RADIUS server for the area died.

Edit: The WhatsApp support person confirmed it.

The Dev team has confirmed that they are working on resolving the incorrect billing for 20/10mbps clients. Anyone who gets the SMS please let me know. I know it has been frustrating, I do apologise for the inconvenience caused.
@AfriNatic @Afrigirl

Just flagging that I haven't received any SMS for the incorrect billing yet as we're approaching the next invoice run.

I did manage to request a downgrade to the 20/10 speed via the Client Portal effective 1 November, so hopefully that resolves the issue going forward.

I have also noticed that the 20/10 line is no longer available on the Afrihost Fibre sign up page and the options start at the 50/50 line for R729. Does this mean that new signups start at 50/50, and how does this affect existing users on the 20Mbps line? Or should we be expecting another speed upgrade from a 20 to a 50 Mbps line?

Morning, yes, Vuma no longer offers the 20/10 Mbps line speed. Packages start at 50 now; existing clients remain on that package.

About the pricing, the team reapplied the promotional speeds of 50/50 Mbps for all 20/10 clients until further notice. Leaving the pricing at R727.

There are some outages in Gauteng. Please send me a PM with your account details or the lines in question so I can check if they are affected by any outage.

Vumatel Outage | Fourways

Vumatel has informed us of a network outage affecting Fourways, affected clients will experience limited to no connectivity. Vumatel engineers are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Every night now at around midnight my internet goes offline for ~30 minutes.

Morning

I had a look at the graphs now and I don't see a drop for traffic on Openserve at midnight like the other night when there was maintenance. It could be a local fault or issue at the OLT rather than a bigger IPC issue.

Looks like there is a Vuma outage in Petervale.

Also lovely support bods, pleased to see I’ll be kept on the promotional speed package. Will this be updated on my account at some point?
