Trying to sort out my low quality/buffering issue with YouTube (Android app) via Chromecast dongle (on TV) on wifi with the D-Link router.

@AfriFella is assisting (thanks!), but there's a loooot of things to troubleshoot.

Anyone having a similar issue perhaps so I can narrow it down?
Thinking it might be something with the router and the wifi connection to the dongle. but still need to test a few things as I mentioned.

Maybe try this :

i've had fibre since feb, the issues only started 16 days ago when i made the switch. if you're on pc, tcpoptimizer4 solved my RD buffering when i was on adsl.

Well no throttling that I have felt.

maybe you can touch another 1.5TB by end of the month then you can see if you will have any throttling, what were you downloading that you managed to reach so much :eek:
