Hi,

We peer with Microsoft in JHB and CPT and they take the data from there to their own core.

There are usually not issues with these services due to the data not even leaving the data centre for example FNO hands over traffic to Afrihost and we just hand it over to Microsoft in the same data centre.

So I got this Miktorik router, and now my Afrihost IP is not the same as my Public IP?

In Clientzone, my IP is showing as the Router's Public IP, but my Public IP is still the same as before.

None of my port forwarding is working any more...

Hi,

Yes we nat new router mac addresses by default to prevent a client from using up public IP's by switching devices continuously.

Please drop me a pm so I can ask for a public IP to be allocated.

Happened last week as well, reboot fixed it. Not today though but I'm disabling ipv6 for now... a fix is no good if it breaks something else... counter intuitive...

Apologies for the issues.

It should all be in order though so if you are still experiencing an issue we need to investigate further.

Also noticing some small amounts of buffering on YouTub, nothing major though.

How would switching from Openserve to MFN work with fees etc.? Do I have to wait for the clawback period to be up on the Openserve line?

To switch from Openserve to Metro is as easy as cancelling the current line and signing up for a new Metro line.

It does require a bit of timing and may result in some downtime if the new line is not up and running by the time the Openserve line gets cancelled or if you signup a bit early and the new line activates before then there will be pro rata charges for the Metro Fibre line.

Been without Internet since Saturday morning.

A technician from Openserve came to our house and told us that on of the cables in our area was cut.

Same thing happened twice last year however those times Openserve did sort out the issue fairly quickly.

This time however has been a nightmare.

I'm thinking of cancelling my fibre.

Is it possible to request an immediate cancellation and me not being charged for May seeing as how my Internet has been down since the beginning of the month.
