Hi

Is this going overboard at all?

I am wondering if we aren't giving them our support the wrong way.. Why don't we all look at using mass forwarded emails.. we can take people's "CC" email Addresses(everyday office personnel - who are all considering getting internet at home but are reluctant because they don't know anything at all).

We can forward these people a detailed explanation of what adsl is all about and why people should buy from Afrihost?

Lots of potential new subscribers would benefit from a well priced ISP like afrihost, but instead buy from the likes of Helkom due to afrihost not getting the exposure it deserves. I don't think MyBroadband's 1-10k users per day is enough. lol

What do you say? Can we get a draft or something ?

Errr cause people don't want advertising pushed onto them.
Tell your friends, don't force it on strangers.
And besides if this product is sold at a loss then there will be a maximum amount of user afrihost can support. I've got most of my friends on to it,specially my student friends and low earners.

like telkom's been spouting all these years.

I'm suggesting taking a different angle than just commercialism.

We should market them on a level of consumer activism.. Tell people all about how telkom is affecting the economy(1% inflasion) Make them slowly aware of the corruption.

Just use afrihost as an afterthought(cheapest ISP around). I've always longed to see a decent Idiot's guide to South African Telecoms. Now is a good a time as any ! :P

im happy with them so far and no i issues yet.

I'm very impressed with Afrihost so far. Plus they've given me another domain for free today. So that's my second domain that they've given me since I started using them for my dsl.

Thanks Afrihost! :D

How much longer is the price R29/gb going to be honoured?

I've met people who didn't know about afrihost yet. People who claim to be avid internet users.. What about noobs ? most internet users are noobs. I think I should go put a flyer on campusses about afrihost. Students need access to affordable internet/information.

I will continue to spread the word about Afrihost until they hike up their prices..

I'd be really suprised if they did, if you look at how a lot of businesses run, they draw a large customer base in with a special introductory offer, then after a couple of months the amount changes in the businesses favour.
