Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

Lol based on the jinx graph, it looks like usage spiked on Monday when gta5 was released, then spiked a bit higher today when ios7 was released.... Coincidence? :p
 
Is something wrong somewhere. Getting 100+ ping and not more than 100kB/s down speed :(

Nope, still shaped ****less!!!

Shaping Policy: 25% Download/ 6.5% P2P

Getting a bit fed up now, been 2 damn days!!!

My ping is also still buggered!!! Used to be 16ms until 2 days ago.

My shaping policy is 25% Download / 12.5% P2P

Not really complaining though, I did about 17.5GB in the last 3 days. Youtube still going great!

Most disappointing, 3rd day now in a row in the Plz area and to be honest...not worth it...SA will remain a country devoid of basic services.

Still beats Mweb hands downs though...

Shaped horriblly at dl 25% and p2p 6.25%

Log onto clientzone, all info there...will be honest,I log on almost every hour to check and its permanently @ 25% dl`s and 6.25% p2p, went up once to 25% both that i could see, still pointless to even spend the $ on elec having pc on to do any dl`s then.

On 2mb uncapped, previously an Mweb "customer", been with AH for like a few days literally. Its like emigrating to another country to live there permanently cos you heard its so good etc and after one week you hear the juju is the new pres...jokes aside, real time services are still useable - not great like on the first 3 days of my monthly subscription, but still there...for now?
 
Yup I and a few other people are having the same problem, not even a heavy downloader but being shaped terribly on everything except YouTube. As usual Afrihost's support is shockingly slow, so I just switched to a Business uncapped account to cut this shaping nonsense. Unnecessary.
 
mmmm OK ....10:30 and still shaped...
Blame it on the apple lovers LOL

this is almost like computicket....and bit of load and the site crash...

If you move to a business uncapped account with AH and do say 100GB p2p in a month (heaven forbid on Mwebs 56k shared national line if you can do 1kb worth of traffic) will AH shape p2p still?

Maybe Afriman can confirm please? If one upgrades to a business uncapped account, will AH shape the line in anyway? Say if one did 100GB or 150GB or say 200GB even, most of it being p2p? I heard with MWEB if you have uncapped you get shaped at 1 byte?
 
getting a bit irritated. The shaping hasn't loosened up and I am still sitting here with HTTP downloads running a 25% of my line speed.
 
So Guys I guess the time has come to look for a new ISP again.

For the past few days I have been having extremely slow download speeds, so I started digging around.
I have a 10Mbps Uncapped account with Afrihost and they also manage my Telkom line.
I have looked at my connectivity on client zone as see that I am SHAPED but I mean SHAPED. See below shaping policy.
Shaping Policy :12.5% Download/ 6.25% P2P
How do you even justify this.
What is your view on this? This is the first time I am having an issue with Afrihost.

@AfriGuy - Anything that can be done about this? Any recommendations? Cause it is not even worth having this account.

35gb downloaded over 19 days so far this month on a 2mbps uncapped account.
