This is my lie this morning on 4 Meg uncapped and 750 m from a newly installed DSLAM. Any comment gratefully accepted.

Definitely looks like a line/exchange issue! (As you can see, your second hop is timing out :/)

When was the exchange installed? It's possible its a temporary thing, they do usually fix themselves after a few hours - else you will have to report a fault :)

Please would you re-run the test with this command:

This could be an exchange issue, if you're timing out on the 2nd hop. We can verify by connection to the Telkom Guest account and then checking whether you get normal throughput and 2nd hop traces to telkom.co.za.

I'm pretty sure you're the only one making an issue out of this, to be honest.

They don't give out test accounts :/ But you can sign up for a free 1GB capped account to test the network...

Ps. the 1GB accounts are Pro rata, so you might get very little data being the end of the month. But the accounts are for life, so come the 1st you'll have 1Gb on-the-Afrihost-house ;) (and forever after more)
