Afriman, you have my sympathies for what is about to become a possible mass-venting tirade, and possible exodus...
I'm not happy, I'm disappointed, but I accept that this is out of AH's hands.
Tomorrow I will moan and bitch about my 600kbps download speedtest, but today I won't give AH grieve.
I wonder if mybb should not investigate the delays with Telkom and raise the questions as to why lead times are so long + why the constant today tomorrow feedback from them.
Thanks - I appreciate the stay of execution![]()
I've got some really bad news, guys.
We've been informed by Telkom that they can't install the IPC upgrade in the South today.
Ja, but the upside for you is that you get to tell me it will come "soon".Thanks - I appreciate the stay of execution![]()
This is hugely disappointing and embarrassing for AH to say the least.
@afriman, I think to help users, Afrihost should really consider giving out some free turbocharges ( over and above the current free turbocharges).
During this period, I've burned through mine and I think a lot of users are in the same predicament. at least offer that as a token of goodwill.
Just my 2c...maybe ask management?
Any short term solution that would tend to increase rather than decrease network contention is a bad, bad idea.
As much as I want to be angry, I guess this is the reality of broadband in SA. I kinda feel sorry for AH as I don't know how they will even make this up to clients. It seems so impossible..
What a farce... that's about all that can be said about this whole situation.
