That's cheap. Not convenient.
You're forgetting that you still have uncapped to use when not turboing. When the cap runs out you are screwed. I don't consider being screwed convenient.
I use like 250-300gigs a month. 8 gigs would last 5min.
That's the exact scenario that makes turbos were made for.
Well, calculating the 8GB one, you have to pull 1.1MB/s to achieve 8GB in 120 minutes. You will never achieve this with overheads, so it would be better to get an 8GB capped account. Only 20mbps would benefit from turbocharge.
Edit: Calculations: the cap converted into Meg's divided by minutes then converted into seconds: 8*1024/120/60 = 1.138.
so turbocharge means i get an hour of unshaped?
at 2000kB/s that means pulling 6.9GB in an hour
4gb + 4gb = R29 means that you only get 8GB after midnight whereas turbocharge is at any time?
edit - so is each turbocharge for a period of an hour or can i specify how long i want it for? beacuse if i only want a gig download, then it seems to be a waste of the resource.
I did a similar calculation, using 4Mbps as a baseline, and I think I estimated less than 2GB is the theoretical max for one hour. So two hours (which is a R29 topup) would be just under 4GB.
So I guess it does come down to convenience. Most routers will allow you to create multiple profiles or use passthrough to connect to different accounts. So I guess it's a great option for some who may prefer to Turbocharge. Just remember that everyone gets 300 free minutes as well. So if you opt for the extra capped account instead of topping up TC minutes, that a significant amount of unshaped data.
It's not fair to charge the same turbocharge price across all line speeds.
I guessed you missed the part where the turbos for different line speeds don't last the same amount of time(min).
Just confirmed with our Accounts team that your refund was processed today, as per our guarantee.
Thank you Afriman. please let me know when the transfer date of monies are as nothing is in my account as of yet.

Oops, thanks for informing me.
So what are the different times?

Simphiwe N (08:18:45) : The line is syncing but the line is syncing on 1527 kbps and the noise levels on the line are bad hence the inconsitent sync. Your sync is on 5 dB which is bad.
Simphiwe N (08:18:55) : The signal level compared to the noise level. A value above 6 dB indicates sufficient signal strength. The higher the signal value, the better. Does the customer have an electric fence? This could cause an increased in noise levels resulting in a reduction of this value.
Serious? Going to blame the electric fence now? Sigh.
