I have two uncapped accounts this month, WA and AH, so I guess i'll give them both til the end of the month. I havent been watching pings this w/e but been streaming netflix to two tv's pretty much most of the weekend without issues on WA.
 
Have not had any issues since the 28th - running at FULL speed on 10Mb/s - well, as much as my copper can handle - maxing at 8.3Mb/s. I am happy :D

What happened to the new website?

I quite enjoyed being able to select my own DSL account password. Now the only option is to reset it...
 
So I decided after 6 months of giving Afrihost the Benefit of the doubt, that it is definately time to move on.

I really thought that you guys were going to make it. Only being able to download 90GB for a whole month on a 10mb Uncapped line is pathetic. I can download more on a 1mb line.

I got three months for free because you wanted to give a couple of clients something back for all the trouble you put them through. The past three months was "fine" if I can say so. Now I'm sitting on a 300kbB/s download on my 10mb line and the line is maxed out. Can't do anything else on the internet until I stop my downloads.

So this will be my last month. Hopefully I will be able to use it properly.
 
I'm very happy (4mb uncapped). This weekend was very good. Some throttling aka qos nonsense happening today, I think, but otherwise pretty good.
 
Hi Guys

I need to apologise for the backlog int getting to my PM's. I know you've got some questions that need 'splainin' and I'll be getting to them as quickly as I can. I'll also catch up on what's been happening in the thread. Seems like most of the issues of the weekend have gone away (in Cape Town). We've been trying to find out from Telkom if there is an official reason why this is happening.

Similar issues seemed to have cropped up in Pretoria, though it also seems to have gone away. We had a few clients complaining that they were not able to authenticate or got no throughput. This was on multiple ISP accounts, to my knowledge.

Anyone still experiencing this?
