It doesn't work - tried signing up now. It shows the discount, I login and proceed to payment options and it says that I will be charged R190?!

Maybe you don't exist...LOL!:D

I had the same problem. Eventually gave up and went directly to the client zone, clicked on 'sign up for additional account' and it gave me the discount from there. Worked 100%

There might be an issue with the form display, I had asked that to be resolved. Sorry about that. Go ahead and sign up, I'll make sure you get the right amount of credit as promised. Just PM me your username when you've signed up.

Just an update, been with Afrihost on their 4MB Uncapped for a month now and it's been great - my main gripe is that it's unfortunate that the Google peering isn't automatically pushed to their South African mirror, that being said - the pings to the Google mirror are pretty great for international

Just modify your dns that google and youtube points to 196.23.168.147

see http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/242316-Forcing-Google-Services-to-local-(RSA)-IP-address for all the dns records

I do it and get 9ms ping to google and youtube. It also loads faster
 
Chugging nicely along.

Last month I took it "gentle" - just to see what a baseline use on my account is like - and it was around 12Gb.

This month I'm gonna push things a bit - see how much I can download.

if you got a smart router , you can do it there and it will automatically applied to your network without extra config
