Afrihost Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

I wonder what the Uncapped Bar on the Client page goes up to. What happens when it fills up? Maybe you win a prize :P

Or maybe they terminate your @ss . . . .

Edit: Seriously - it's prob just there for Capped accounts and doesnt mean anything for Uncapped. To the right of that bar there is no "available" figure.... which is obvious coz there should be no upper limit

Well i shall try figure out how much it all equals to since mine is about 1/20th of the way there.
 
One thingthat im not happy with is my max speed - unders axxess I was getting 410kb/s now with afrihost i get MAX 370kb/s. At the moment (its currently unshaped) im THROTTLED to 350kb/s.

Any comment from afrihost? Im not happy with this. I accept the shaping to 30kb/s during the day (if im lucky), however when off peak I expect NOT to be throttled.

Im not a crazy user and have averaged about 150GB a month. PLease, comment.
 
explain this to me. During the day, I average 410KB/s on my line. During the evenings, I get 150KB/s if I'm lucky. I download off Astraweb. Any ideas?
 
Has anybody been playing WoW on these accounts? I'd like to know what latency you guys are getting compared to normal accounts and unshaped accounts.

So glad it isn't just me. I see they've made the 384 and 512 packages available...wonder if it doesn't have anything to do with this. My line is syncing at 2mbit at least, but I'm downloading at 512 speed??? Seems like I'm being throttled..which is BS as I'm paying for the 4mbit account.

I'm syncing at 4mbit and always been.. tonight I have 384 speeds... damn it's slow .. rather set my shorts on fire than dealing with this.
 
the guys who are still getting their speeds, where do you live? Cape Town, Joburg, Durban, Pretoria?
