Think you are right. Charge is 0.5C and discharge is 0.7C. Weird.

But Mikes point is still valid. Should be getting 2.4KwP. Something is clipping.

How many strings are your panels arranged into? Assume 2 strings of like 5 panels each perhaps?
 
OK, sounds like a healthy system. How is the Azimuth of the panels? Are they optimal for winter sun, or on a flatish roof?

We have a pitched roof. Angled at 25 degrees

My neighbor has a similar setup but has 2x5kwh Hubbles. The only difference.
 
My battery is 100ah at 1C. One battery in the bank at 5.2kw

Revov had to do mine when upgrading firmware. Installers constantly get this wrong
Amen, I had the same. They connected mine during loadshedding and when the grid returned I nearly kakked myself as the inverter was giving crazy readings. Apparently the wire colors are swapped around between the 5kw & 8kw Sunsynks. This was their excuse, if it's true, I dont know. At least they came back the same day to swap it around and sort it out.

It's also not about switching the wires around but about the location of the CT coil.

I've seen installations where its installed inside the inverter.

It should be located on the live wire from the grid before the main circuit breaker.

I'm genuinely amazed at how often I've seen the CT inside the inverter. Installers obviously have no clue what it actually does.
 
I have the CT installed outside of the inverter, but I think it's still before the non-essential items, so don't get to feed non-essentials if I wanted to.
A bit tricky for me to test, but it's not how I wanted it. I have a switch that is supposed to switch geyser between essential and non-essential, but it switches geyser from essential to completely out of sight of the inverter and only on eskom. So I suspect the CT is before (the wrong side) the breakers. Or the fact that I have a switch for on/off added some complexity, but either way just leaving as is for now as I keep the geyser on essential. Or might just be the long distance between db and inverter (say 15m).

When I do eventually add aircons then will get someone to sort it out. Or if Sunsynk can add a system mode setting per time slot then that might get me sorting it out as well.

On that note, the Sunsynk App/Website does show promise with setting some rules and smart switches that might be coming in the future. But probably a long way to go..

My installer was a great guy, and tons of experience, even done some crazy sized commercial installs (verified by the supplier). But I was disappointed when he said I maybe needed more panels if I wanted to feed non-essentials, lols. Guessing most of his work was before these hybrid Deye inverters.

Just to be clear, the CT should be on the incoming Eskom cable at your DB right after it comes I to the house. Before any loads and before the inverter.

What it's doing is cueing the inverter in to the fact that something it would normally not know about (non-essentials) is drawing power from Eskom.

If it's set up to export to non-essentials, and Eskom is up, It then meets that demand, or at least a percentage of it, instead of Eskom if the battery is above a set threshold or there's excess solar.

When trying from Solarman it says the logger is offline.
Where may I be going wrong?

You can have either the Sunsynk dongle or the Solarman dongle, not both on the same inverter
