All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

Running home assistant gives you more regular updates from the Solarman dongle so you don't necessarily need to use solar assistant. Solarman on HA updates every 60 secs, if one needs more regular than that then solar assistant is still the way to go.

You can, but you need approval from whomever created your plant. You might need Solarman Business to do so (which anyone can get) although I recall reading somewhere that you can now change setting on Solarman Smart as well.

For me, the only reason why I still have the Solarman dongle is for firmware updates. SolarAssistant is a 1000 times better, gives real time data and ability to update settings remotely which is becoming more important with all the loadshedding.
 
Anybody having issues with SunSynk Connect? Myself and my FIL have issues with our plants either being offline or showing 0w for everything.
Just logged into mines - had to enter password (since I use Solar assistant normally) ... seems to be working fine.

I logged out and back in, can see the PV generation for the day has increased but still 0w everywhere…

My solar assistant has been flawless. Also haven't upgraded inverter firmware since purchase in July . If it ain't broke - don't fix it
 
Just a headsup, at least one person had corrupted their settings using solar assist. Someone on this forum if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if they were using an older version of SA and a newer firmware on the device so buyer beware. Same probably goes for any product including the free ones I guess.
At least SA works offline if I'm not mistaken?
I have issues with being online.
It doesn't require an internet connection to work yes - but then you lose some of the key benefits

I have a 8kva Hybrid Sunsynk with 3 strings of 8 x 450w panels. 16 North Facing + 8 East
During full sun (11:30) I am getting just over 3kw which seems to me to be on the low side?
Any Comments on this wiring, as I think I am only getting power from 1 of the MPPT?

There is nothing coming from MPPT2.

I also have 2 unbalanced strings.

2 strings of 11 x 305w panels on MPPT2 and 1 string of 12 x 305w panels on MPPT 1. All of mine are on the same roof so not in different directions as yours. 803764408.jpg

Something not right either with the panel string wiring or there is a blown fuse somewhere

PV2 is only getting to 90V so the MPPT cannot switch on (think it needs 150V). Looks like the panels are not wired up correctly.

Is that the CT coil connected to the L grid wire in the inverter ?

Also no picture of the CT coil in your system flow chart.

Yip, you can see the ct clamp just just on far right of the image. It should not be just before inverter grid connection but I'm assuming everything is running through the inverter so they don't even need the ct clamp

I also don't see my CT-Coil in my UPS mode setting.
But it works. Don't supply power to Muni.

One off the screens you can see if CT-Coil is reversed negative reading.
 
Going to rather post my issue here instead of the other thread.

MPPT 1 seems to be having an issue where voltage increases steadily from around 12pm and amps drop leaving production on that string also decreasing. If I disconnect and reconnect the MPPT by switching it on and off at the breaker when it restarts it starts at its expected voltage.

You can sea the difference in the voltage curves between the two MPPTs. All panels are on the same roof.

I expect voltage to drop during the day as the temperature increases which you can see in MPPT2 but MPPT1 behaves in the opposite manner.

Just switched it off again today and you can see the voltage return to its expected value.

It can't be a heat issue as voltage should drop as the temperature increases.

My next test will be to swap the strings on the inverter and see if then does this on MPPT2.

This what the day ended up like.

I only restarted MPPT 1 once but it increased on its own before dropping again. It did this 3 times.

MPPT2 on the other hand operated normally.

I'm going to swap the strings around this evening and see what it does tomorrow.
